Here is a little sneak peak of details from my grad collection. I have been working vigorously the last 2 1/2 months on this mini collection. I must admit that I am a little exhausted from the countless hours of planning the design, to drafting the patterns, to sewing up the garments, to the endless hours of handstitching the delicate details, and along with other piles of study work that followed. I am a little exhausted, but it was all worth it. I also learned a lot about myself through this process, which is, I'm quite the one that likes a challenge, and a little OCD in the perfection department. At the beginning process when I was sketching up design ideas, I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to design something great for my first collection. Something that I can look back in 10 years and still be proud of. It was also a way to push myself to go a little further and discover my abilities. I also learned that the perfectionist part about myself isn't always a good thing, sometimes it can really distract me from seeing the bigger picture. This is my first ever collection, and I am quite proud of it. I am super duper excited to finally show my collection in 2 weeks at the Blanche Macdonald Annual Grad Show. Can't wait!!

Some of my favourite Fall styles spotted on the streets of London. Lots of colourful layers and oversized coats. I am also loving the many colourful and metallic style clutches, they are such great accent pieces to an outfit.

For the people who don't live in Paris, wouldn't it be nice to spend the Fall season in Paris? I know I would love to! If I wasn't still occupied with school, I would have flown off to Paris in a second.
The cooler weather has arrived, which means chunky scarfs and layers upon layers. I must admit that I always get excited for Fall to come around. I'm mainly excited for Fall fashion of course, because there is just so much to play with in terms of putting together day to day outfits. Also a little bit of me gets excited for the yummy festive drinks Starbucks comes up with! Which season is your favourite and why?

I am so amazed by what technology and fashion can create. Designer Iris Van Herpen
created collections using the technology of 3D printing. Viewing her collection started filling
my mind with creative juices, and the exciting thoughts of many endless possibilities for the
future of fashion. Iris discusses the ideas of one day using 3D printers to create garments by
order that will fit each individual client perfectly. Which is such a fantastic idea!
What do you guys think about this 3D printing technology entering the fashion design world?
Maybe one day we won't even need sewing machines??
I personally would still prefer to have the option of sewing.

The details from Stephane Rolland's Spring 2013 Couture Collection are so unique. Stephane takes minimalism to a whole other level. Each piece is more than just a piece from a couture collection, they are beautiful works of art. I am so intrigued and inspired by this collection.
